Theresa Staiano
Theresa Staiano practices Whole Health Shiatsu, a Japanese form of bodywork with roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She trained at the Massage Arts Center of Philadelphia and completed Reiki II training.
Theresa acquired the National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in 2011 and is also an active member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.
As a graduate of the Gloucester County School of Massage, Theresa studied Swedish massage techniques as well as deep tissue massage, sports massage and therapeutic massage.
Theresa is a firm believer in the overall benefits of massage to your health and wellbeing. Massage is a great way to help alleviate low back pain, sciatica and headaches as well as improve range of motion and flexibility, stretching of tight or weak muscles and reduction of depression and anxiety.
Between 2008 and 2009 Theresa also studied and received certification in Whole Health Shiatsu from the Massage Arts Center of Philadelphia.
Shiatsu is effective in providing balance and well-being to the recipient. A Shiatsu treatment consists of a sequence of gentle joint rotations, stretching and kneading, as well as palm and finger pressure. Shiatsu provides a deep sense of relaxation. Full body Shiatsu treatments are available as well as treatments modified to address specific areas of pain or discomfort.
Theresa is involved in the MS City of Shore ride and the American Cancer Society Ride for the Cure
